From Dubai to Your Doorstep: Our Perfume Journey

A Love Story That Began in a Dubai Souk

It was 2001. The air in Dubai’s old souk was thick with something extraordinary — a warm, resinous, almost sacred blend of oud, amber, and rose that stopped me in my tracks. I was young, curious, and completely unprepared for what I was about to discover: a perfume culture so rich, so deeply woven into the fabric of daily life, that it would change the course of my life forever.

I spent hours wandering from stall to stall, watching master perfumers blend oils with the confidence of artists. I listened as shopkeepers explained the difference between Hindi oud and Cambodian oud as if they were describing fine wines. Fragrance wasn’t just a product there — it was a language, a tradition, an expression of hospitality, and even a form of prayer.

I left that souk with a small collection of attar oils — and a lifelong obsession.

Two Decades of Passion

Over the next two decades, my relationship with Arabian perfumery deepened. Every trip back to the Gulf became an opportunity to visit new perfumers, discover emerging houses, and expand my understanding of this ancient art.

I learned about the sacred role of oud in Islamic tradition, the way bakhoor (incense) fills a home before honored guests arrive, and the meticulous craftsmanship behind every bottle of fragrance.

But I also noticed something troubling: here in the United States, this magnificent tradition was almost invisible. American fragrance lovers were missing out on some of the world’s most extraordinary scents — not because they wouldn’t appreciate them, but simply because they didn’t know they existed.

From Kitchen Counter to Your Doorstep

In 2020, what started on a kitchen counter grew into Albaaz Distribution LLC.

Our mission was simple, yet meaningful: to serve as a bridge between the rich perfume heritage of the Middle East and fragrance lovers across America.

We don’t just import bottles — we curate experiences. We source directly, building strong relationships with the heritage brands we carry, as well as developing our own Albaaz Perfumes line. Every fragrance is carefully selected using the same standard I learned in that Dubai souk:

Does it represent the best of Arabian perfumery?
Does it tell a story worth sharing?

Why This Matters to Us

Middle Eastern perfumery is one of the world’s oldest and most sophisticated fragrance traditions — stretching back thousands of years along ancient trade routes that carried oud, frankincense, and myrrh across continents.

These aren’t just scents. They are living history.

When you open a bottle from Albaaz Perfumes, you’re not just experiencing a fragrance — you’re connecting with a legacy refined over generations. Each scent reflects the artistry of perfumers who learned their craft from those before them, preserving a tradition that continues to evolve while staying rooted in its origins.

That’s the story we are proud to bring to your doorstep.

Welcome to Albaaz Perfumes. We’re honored to be part of your fragrance journey.
